Imagine being a billionaire controlling your own banks, allegedly a legitimate businessman with operations spanning the globe, and getting arrested twice in London, on competing international arrest warrants issued by Spain and Switzerland. You read it correctly: Switzerland. Imagine having to surrender passports and suffer the indignity of having to fight an extradition request from Switzerland, linked to a multi billion dollar money laundering case.

With customary fanfare Donald Trump announced an oil deal that is meant to give control to the U.S. government of vast reserves of Venezuelan crude. If the Venezuelan and Iranian fiascos wouldn't be so alarmingly clear, some level of credence could be given. But as with every Trump-related claim, this site is calling absolute BS on the whole thing. Firstly, Venezuela does not have the oil reserves that the Donald think it has. The much touted about figure is a complete fabrication of Hugo Chavez that has never been independently verified.

This site has, without a doubt, the largest collection of research about Alejandro Betancourt's criminal activities. What started in 2011, 2012 has arguably been one of the best documented cases of rampant corruption ever published in any language.

Nervis Villalobos, and by extension his wife Milagros Coromoto Torres Moran, are directly involved in very many corruption schemes in Venezuela. As a result, international criminal probes have identified and included Villalobos and Torres Moran in proceedings.
