Message to INFODIO readers: investigative journalism, which is what this site does, takes lots of time. To all readers, do the right thing, the honest thing: support independent investigative journalism, help us expose rampant corruption. Note added 28/06/2021: impostors are using this site's former editor's full name, and a fake email address (alek.boyd.arregui@gmail.com) to send copyright infringement claims / take down requests to web hosting companies (exhibit Hostgator). The attempt is yet another effort paid by corrupt thugs to erase information about their criminal activities. Infodio.com has no issues with other websites / journalists using / posting information published here, so long as the source is properly cited.
The last couple of days this site's Twitter account was repeatedly locked. The first complaint for doxing was filed for a tweet about geolocation (4 Cowley Street London SW1P 3NB) of Derwick Associates' main thug Alejandro Betancourt (read this encore). Twitter demanded immediate deletion of tweet in question for "posting private media". However, none of the media used was private.
An email from the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, which oversees Twitter's behaviour in Europe under GDPR rules, brought into focus the reality of dealing with unaccountable social media platforms. After's Twitter's decision to permanently suspend my verified @alekboyd account, I filed a GDPR request with the watchdog. What I wanted, still want, was to recover my account's data, tweets, pictures, etc.
UPDATED 09/12/2020 SEE BELOW - Twitter, has got to be said, is less and less a platform for public debate, and more and more a media outlet with a unique editorial line. Whatever makes Jack tick, or takes his fancy, that's what goes. In the mold of Facebook, where the other idiot reigns, Twitter's Terms of Service (ToS) are vague enough to give plenty of subjective room to Twitter's bots to decide what can and can't be posted in the platform.
The unravelling of Twitter, to this site's editor at least, has been fascinating. A bit like Prince Andrew's interview.
For the last few weeks I have been trying to get Twitter to enforce their own guidelines, with respect to a "parody" account, probably run by hacker RaFa Nuñez, called @alekboydoficial. This is an example of the sort of "parody" put out by said account:
